The Latest News Updates

Bago Bluff Marathon 2017

The weather tuned it on for Port Macquarie for the second year at the Bago Bluff Marathon keeping things cooler than days leading up to the event & bushfires making a real threat to the event.
Some course marking with trail bike riders over the weekend were causing some problems with a few riders missing turns & short cutting some of the course. One rider was hit by a trail bike rider travelling at high speed damaging his bike but got back OK with only one gear.
The 100 km riders this year found the course too long in the first lap after making a wrong turn &  not making the cutoff for the second lap of the 50 km loop. All 100 km riders were then placed in their own 50 km open category & refunded race entry difference.
Overall riders feedback said that they loved the course & are keen to give it another go next year.
The over all Male & Female Champions in the Bago Bluff Marathon were Shane Cox & Laura Renshaw of Newcastle.
Full Results cam be found HERE. Video & Photo's will be posted soon.
Definitely more marshals are needed for the event to be ran in 2018 to keep riders safe & on track. If your available to marshal in any future Trail Terra events please go to our volunteer web page & fill out the details.

The only female today competing - means you get the trophy! Was definitely earned out there. Great course for the 50km Bago Bluff MTB Race. #bagobluffmtb #trailterra #wymtm #mtb #sworks
